Lunch in Greece

On Saturday we did a daytrip to Chios, a Greek Island about 3/4 hr boatride from a port near where we live. It was a lovely day out - found a great cafe with a playground that the kids had a fantastic time in, and we got to go swimming at the beach too which was sooooooooo nice. The water there is so clear and still quite warm, unlike the yucky polluted harbour here in our city. On the way home we grabbed some infidels food (bacon!) which of course you can't get here, so yum, we're looking forward to sampling that.

I quite like going places that are touristy or ports etc, as I get to broaden my English vocabularly (pity we were in the habit of trying to speak Turkish to the Greeks though!), like this great new word I have learnt from this official sign. I think it will become severiously useful!
