We had a nice surprise when Tina from MBC emailed us to say she was in our neck of the woods, and we managed to arrange for Angela to meet with her. It was a great little daytrip up to a cute town called Ayvalik for me, and a boat trip from Mitylene on the Greek Island of Lesbos for Tina. We met together for a lovely long lunch (lots of yummy seafood... something I just don't do wth the kids!) and I think I may well have talked my jaw off! It was a fair bit of travel for a few hours together but well worth it from my point of view - nice to catch up with someone from home, speak kiwi... and also glean Tina's experience of living in other cultures and learning other languages. Thanks Tina!
